Owners of the original PC version of Dark Souls Remastered will not be able to enjoy the 50% discount from the end of September. The original version of the game, called the Ready to Die version, was the only way to play Dark Souls for many years, but that changed with the release of Dark Souls Remastered in 2018. The Ready to Die version is considered a lower version of the game. It requires a mod called the DSfix module to play at 60fps and change the resolution of the game correctly. Remakes of the game over the past two years have given original owners a 50% discount. Starting September 30, Dark Souls Remastered will cost a full $40 each person.
As several Reddit users have suggested, remakes of the game are rarely or even rarely sold due to the ongoing 50% off campaign, bringing "lots of discounts" to the owner. Now that the promotion is over, we should expect the remake of "Dark Souls" to be released more often, but that's not guaranteed. The next game from Dark Souls developer From Software is Elden Ring, which will be released on January 21, 2022. Although it is not an official introduction to the Dark Souls series, director Hidetaka Miyazaki said it will bear some similarities with the critically acclaimed series. There will be many changes, including open world environments and horse riding.
